VIZIO XVT323SV 32-Inch Full HD 1080p LED LCD HDTV with VIA Internet Application Black

VIZIO XVT323SV 32-Inch Full HD 1080p LED LCD HDTV with VIA Internet Application Black

This is the first LED LCD HDTV i buy, i got it from Amazon and it was great. Easy to set up, worked good with the cable, wifi, and pc.

Some things to take notice of:

- The speakers sound really good, they lack somewhat in the bass department, but as far as TV speakers go, they are ok.
- If you have a cable box like mine, which requires you to have a specific channel tuned on your TV and change between channels using the cable box's own remote, you should do the following: go to menu -> TV then again into Menu -> Settings -> Tuner and run an auto scan for channels, it will take a while and you may find more than one channel, when it's done, just search through the channels to find the one where your cable box is tuned into, and then you can keep on as usual (i had to do this under the Antenna mode, since my cable box can requires you to tune your TV on channel 3 or 4, so searching under cable tuner did not yield good results, but your mileage may vary).

I know this might not be very common in the US, but i live in Mexico and that's how the cable company does things around here. Didn't found those steps in the manual, but it didn't take long to figure it out.

Another thing. If you're planning to plug your PC into this TV, make sure to take advantage of your DVI or HDMI ports if your computer has them. My graphics card has only DVI, so at first i plugged it only with the standard VGA cable, picture was ok, but i got the DVI to HDMI cable and plugged it in, and IT DID make a difference, specially on videos and games. I Think the reason for that is that while on VGA mode (a.k.a. RGB) the TV doesn't actually operate at a refresh rate of 120 Hz (labeled 'true motion' or something like that under the picture settings), but it does when it is on any of the HDMI inputs or the TV, so be sure to grab yourself some HDMI cables, or DVI to HDMI if you're in a situation similar to mine.

Other than that, the apps seemed to work great, NETFLIX is yet to be available in my country but the app works, and last but not least, sometimes the TV starts updating it's firmware without warning, you'll note it because it seems to turn off, and the "VIZIO" logo flashes in white and orange, it's normal and it's not frequent, it doesn't take too long too.

All in all, a great experience, i recommend it to everyone. For 500 bucks, you can't get any better TV with internet apps.

There are enough input ports on this TV to keep even a media hungry guy like myself happy. I have my HD DISH Network satellite receiver, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3 plugged in. I would gladly take an additional HDMI, but it's hard to find 5 ports on a 32" TV. When I watch sports on ESPN or the NHL Network, the HD picture quality is solid. All in all, I’m glad a co-worker at DISH told me about this TV and I couldn’t be happier.
